Just finished my first year of art school. I have learned a great deal and I will post most of the projects I worked on (even though they are traditional art and DA people seem to love Digital a bit more). I am proud of my short story comic I finished (See here at previous journal:
fav.me/d4sv498 ). I see A LOT A LOT A LOT of things I could have done better but I am just so happy to have something under my belt that is finished. With that accomplishment complete I have so many options for the summer I am not sure which direction to go.
I would like to keep working on my 100 challenge:
fav.me/d4fcf6p . I had to take a break to meet the project deadline for the noir comic. Just looking at the small number I have complete I can see a decent style developing and an improvement in my digital drawing skills.
I want to start a website. I know some simple coding and really need to put forth the effort. A web comic theme is the general idea. I even have some comics you can see here:
privycomics.blogspot.com/And most important! KEEP PUTTING STUFF OUT THERE! I want to draw or paint or create something everyday! I am not ready to commit to any sort of daily challenge because I might start that obligation for the comic website but I still should be working out styles and practicing color, proportions and everything else. I have been playing catch up with skill for all the years I pretty much ignored my artistic talents. I am keeping a list of a few small projects/fan arts/styles i want to explore and now is definitely the time to start. Typing a few here so the world will see my goals! I am much better at following them if I fear someone calling me out in public...
Some things I want to complete before the summer is over:
Mucha style portraits
Callie Magotbone
Flame Princess
Queen Beryl
Knight of the Laughing Tree
League of Legends Characters
various other fan arts
So a cheer to the summer and all the future endeavors for me and everyone else here on DA!
